Running Punks
About
This year, Run Across UK aims to raise £50,000 for the Down’s Syndrome Association and Down’s Syndrome Scotland. Over the weekend of 20–22 March 2026, teams across the UK will be running, walking and cycling between John o’Groats and Land’s End, covering around 1,000 miles in total.
Running Punks are taking on a couple of legs around Bristol and the Mendips, with multiple distance options to make the event as inclusive as possible. From short, accessible runs through to longer endurance efforts, the focus is on getting involved rather than how fast or far you go. These local legs are part of the wider Run Across UK weekend, helping turn a national challenge into something communities can take part in on their own terms.
The cause is personal. One of the families involved is Tim’s, whose daughter Laurie is 13 and has Down’s Syndrome. Like many families, this experience has highlighted how important support, understanding and visibility are. By supporting the Running Punks Run Across UK team, you are helping to raise vital funds, spark conversations, and turn a weekend of effort into something that makes a real difference.
